La probabilit\u00e9 accrue d&#8217;une mauvaise QAI pendant les saisons interm\u00e9diaires est le r\u00e9sultat de la combinaison d&#8217;une mauvaise ventilation, de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9 et d&#8217;une isolation \u00e9tanche \u00e0 l&#8217;air dans les b\u00e2timents. L&#8217;objectif principal du CVC (chauffage, ventilation &amp; climatisation) est de maintenir une bonne qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur et un approvisionnement en air ad\u00e9quat.\u00a0 Pendant les saisons interm\u00e9diaires, il ne fait en moyenne ni chaud ni froid, et le CVC n&#8217;est donc pas activ\u00e9 par le thermostat pour corriger les temp\u00e9ratures. Par cons\u00e9quent, le b\u00e2timent peut ne pas recevoir une circulation quotidienne suffisante d&#8217;air frais et accumuler des polluants provenant des projets de r\u00e9paration, des proc\u00e9dures de nettoyage et des simples activit\u00e9s quotidiennes.<\/p>\n<p>Une mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur peut entra\u00eener des cons\u00e9quences allant de la perte de productivit\u00e9 sur le lieu de travail \u00e0 de graves probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 pour les occupants des b\u00e2timents. L&#8217;irritation des yeux et des voies respiratoires sup\u00e9rieures est une cons\u00e9quence courante d&#8217;une mauvaise QAI et fait partie des principaux sympt\u00f4mes signal\u00e9s dans les enqu\u00eates par questionnaires effectu\u00e9 en milieu de travail. Pour maintenir une sant\u00e9 optimale, il est important de r\u00e9duire les concentrations de polluants de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur dans votre environnement. Il y a deux fa\u00e7ons d&#8217;y parvenir : \u00e9liminer la source de pollution de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur et augmenter la quantit\u00e9 d&#8217;air pur entrant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9liminer les sources de pollution de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Surveiller l&#8217;humidit\u00e9 et les infiltrations d&#8217;eau : Air sec, moisissures et bact\u00e9ries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9gulation des niveaux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 permettra d&#8217;assurer le confort des locataires et de minimiser les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9. Pendant l&#8217;intersaison, l&#8217;analyse de votre QAI vous aidera \u00e0 surveiller l&#8217;environnement pour le d\u00e9veloppement d&#8217;allerg\u00e8nes de moisissure associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des niveaux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9s et \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir les probl\u00e8mes de peau s\u00e8che, de voies respiratoires et de l\u00e8vres associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des niveaux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 faibles. Si vous soup\u00e7onnez la pr\u00e9sence de moisissures, vous pouvez \u00e9valuer visuellement votre b\u00e2timent et faire tester votre QAI pour d\u00e9tecter les spores de moisissures. Assurez-vous de conna\u00eetre les mat\u00e9riaux de construction et les probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s \u00e0 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 afin d&#8217;\u00e9viter d&#8217;exposer les locataires de l&#8217;immeuble \u00e0 des risques suppl\u00e9mentaires pour la sant\u00e9. Certains mat\u00e9riaux de construction peuvent contenir des substances telles que l&#8217;amiante et le plomb qui pr\u00e9sentent un risque pour la sant\u00e9 s&#8217;ils sont d\u00e9rang\u00e9s ou manipul\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re inappropri\u00e9e. Une autre \u00e9tude a estim\u00e9 que l&#8217;augmentation de l&#8217;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 des b\u00e2timents sans mesures compensatoires pouvait accro\u00eetre de 57 % les concentrations int\u00e9rieures de radon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cr\u00e9er un \u00e9change suffisant d&#8217;air propre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am\u00e9liorer la ventilation avec de l&#8217;air ext\u00e9rieur peut am\u00e9liorer la QAI, mais seulement si l&#8217;air entrant est plus propre que l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur. Souvent, ce n&#8217;est pas le cas, et la ventilation aggrave la QAI. La mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air ext\u00e9rieur peut \u00eatre le r\u00e9sultat de niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de contaminants ext\u00e9rieurs, des gaz d&#8217;\u00e9chappement des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 moteur provenant des routes voisines et des contaminants provenant des b\u00e2timents adjacents. Dans ces cas, une augmentation de la ventilation de l&#8217;air peut \u00eatre contre-productive si elle n&#8217;est pas accompagn\u00e9e d&#8217;une augmentation appropri\u00e9e et efficace de la filtration et du nettoyage de l&#8217;air.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tenir compte de la QAI lors de l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de la performance des b\u00e2timents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les propri\u00e9taires et les gestionnaires de b\u00e2timents manquent souvent l&#8217;occasion d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer la QAI et l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique pendant les r\u00e9novations de routine. Les r\u00e9novations sont une excellente occasion d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer la QAI si elle est int\u00e9gr\u00e9e au projet. Cependant, les efforts visant \u00e0 atteindre des niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de performance des b\u00e2timents sans tenir compte de la QAI peuvent entra\u00eener des probl\u00e8mes. En pr\u00eatant une attention particuli\u00e8re aux substances et aux plantes de votre paysage, vous pouvez \u00e9galement contribuer \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes d&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur. Les gestionnaires d&#8217;immeubles n\u00e9gligent souvent le fait que chaque fois qu&#8217;une porte s&#8217;ouvre dans le b\u00e2timent, des polluants de l&#8217;air ext\u00e9rieur tel que le pollen, p\u00e9n\u00e8trent dans l&#8217;approvisionnement en air du b\u00e2timent.
