Dear Friends

As 2023 comes to an end, we are faced with different challenges that are not solely Covid-19 related. Inflation and high interest rates have made life less affordable for all. Unfortunately, words like COVID-19, influenza, RSV, inflation, etc. are heard still too frequently. Social strife grows around the world, and environmental degradation is a reality that we experienced all too vividly this year in the case of wild fires. However, as an optimist, even amongst all the “bad” news there is beauty, hope and inspiration. With regards to the above, I would like to celebrate the achievements and diversity of my phenomenal team, the quality and commitment of our clients, both old and new, and the suppliers that allow us to provide you with the same values and commitment to being the best we can be since 1979. More importantly, we have created a culture of positivity at T. Harris Environmental Management Inc. (THEM) to help overcome the challenges that we all face. Positivity like success is infectious and a reflection of many components. Celebrating is something we are doing more of, because we are all unique and filled with the potential to make a positive change to our surroundings and the people we interact with. Our motto continues to be “We treat our clients as friends, because you never let a friend down”. Old fashioned, perhaps, but still very relevant to our success.

As 2024 is almost here, we at THEM, will remain positive in the capacity to be good citizens and neigbours, dedicated to achieving excellence in creating safe and healthy environments. But more importantly, we will try and be more empathetic, compassionate and generous to others, celebrate the achievements of our team, clients and suppliers and grow the “generosity gene” which we are trying to incorporate into all we do at THEM as there is so much good that can be achieved if we look past the chatter of negativity. Once again, we take pride in the causes we have supported in 2023, both corporately and personally, in particular, we have once again donated to the regional food banks where we have offices this holiday season as the food insecurity has grown exponentially in 2023, which is so sad.

I wish you joy, peace and happiness this holiday season, and look forward to working with you in 2024.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,

John
